One Night in December

Untitled design-29.png

One night in December

Starlight twinkling —

Each of us knowing what this means

We ran down a dark, deserted

Street in the cold —

A dead end, but you knew

Where to go

Sometimes the answer can be both

Not one is right —

You can go into it thinking one

And another at the end

Of the night

And I’m tortured inside

Hunger is the worst —

Sleep never came so easily

And the punishment endures

I try so hard to remember

That one night in December

I loved you in December.
